Packing space-saving hacks

Before every trip we ask ourselves these questions: “What should I take?”, “Should I leave this at home?”, “Will it all fit in one bag?” etc. Let’s clear this up. Take your trip to a new level!

1. Take only what’s necessary

If you travel, your bag becomes your life – that’s a fact. The smaller it is, the less your belongings stick out and the less vulnerable you feel. Maximize luggage space by rolling clothes instead of folding them. You’ll be surprised how much more you can fit in this way.

2. Trust technology

Sure, paper books are classic. There’s nothing like the scent of a new book. Vinyl sounds much better than your iPhone or mp3 player. But it takes up a lot of space in your luggage, and if you already own a Kindle or an iPad it can become a fantastic resource and source of entertainment with minimal weight. Go digital!

3. Time for vacuum package

It’s the perfect space-saver. How to use it? Just put your clothes in, seal the bag and squeeze the air out. This hack will also prevent creases more effectively than folding. In case you want to access things more quickly or separate different items – pack cubes!

4. Ziplock bags – the best option for liquids

Ziplock bags are your savers! Put all little bottles with liquids inside and enjoy your trip without any shedding issues.

5. Suit and tie

Packing it compactly might be a problem… But here’s a great trick. Pull one sleeve of your jacket inside out, then pull the other one. Keep it in shape with underwear and socks, roll it into a “suit burrito” and voilà! It’s that easy.

6. Fragile items

Protect breakables such as glass fragrance bottles or any souvenirs by slipping them into socks before packing them. It will help you get them from point A to point B safe and sound.

7. These boots aren’t made for walking

Taking some of your favorite shoes on a trip? Don’t let all that space go to waste. Store socks and other smaller items in them. And if you are travelling with kids, their shoes will fit perfectly inside yours.

8. Contact lens cases

To travel very light, store small amounts of your most essential creams, lotions and lip glosses in contact lens cases. They are a super compact alternative for those bulky makeup bottles.

9. Money, money, money…

Before leaving make sure to check your wallet. Ask yourself, is it necessary to take whole purse with all that bulky coins in it. We think it’s better less: take your credit card instead that huge money block. Having virtual money is much safer!
