airBaltic and Satisfly are pleased to announce the launch of the innovative “SeatBuddy” solution, which makes airBaltic the first airline in the world to provide an intelligent seating assignment product.
Starting this June, airBaltic passengers on select routes will have the ability to choose the service to find them the perfect ‘SeatBuddy’ for their upcoming flight. The service, which will be later extended to all flights, is optional and free of any charge for the passengers.

How does it work?
Sign up on SeatBuddy;
Connect to social media profiles, add BalticMiles number and define the flight preferences;
Book a flight on airBaltic and SeatBuddy will automatically take care of the seat assignments;
Receive an ice-breaking introductory message to highlight common traits with the upcoming seat buddy;
Board and find the most compatible seat neighbour, according to one’s flight mood and preferences.
Members who don’t have a BalticMiles number yet, can register for a new BalticMiles account while they sign up on SeatBuddy.
SeatBuddy caters to both sociable and non-sociable air travellers. As such, travellers seeking to have a quiet flight in a silent environment can also benefit from intelligent seating assignments, once they have selected a desired “Relax” or “Work” flight mood; passengers in a social mood will have the opportunity to opt for “Business networking” or “Easy chat” to be seated with a like-minded buddy with a similar mood.
